Do you still happen to remember those two good fellows who helped cook in the cafeteria? Recently, they've been regularly "passing by" my office talking about a certain pair of blond and white-haired prison pals of theirs. Judging from their recent behavior, aside from intending to invite you two over for a meal, I'd hazard a guess that they're preparing something for me as well. I suppose I'll just carry on pretending I have no idea what's going on... Anyway, feel free to drop by whenever you're free, and I really do mean whenever. Some new stickers that are rather distinct in color have shown up in the office. If I'm not mistaken, they're drawings of cake. Although I've already expressed my gratitude to the Melusines, it seems that similar treats have still found their way into the Coupon Cafeteria. I believe the best way to reciprocate is by sharing this gift. So, I'll set aside the two largest pieces for you and Paimon — it's only fair, given your contributions. I've always felt that the best way to understand a new place is to see how its people find energy, and how they waste time. So, when I had business to attend to in Nod-Krai recently, I made sure to sample the local cuisine and even stopped by an underground fighting ring or two. You won't exactly learn refined combat techniques in those no-holds-barred matches, but you can read a lot about the participants' personalities and ways of thinking from the way they strike and defend. I have to admit, I rather enjoyed the observation... and ended up staying a few days longer than planned. In any case, my work went smoothly, and since I was away long enough, it seems the affairs of the Fortress of Meropide managed to sort themselves out in my absence — a win-win situation, I'd say. Oh, and as for the part where I got a little carried away... let's keep that between us, shall we? | |

| Oh, it's you. Seems I picked just the right moment to open my eyes. Before you arrived, the Melusines had already snuck in a few times. Their gifts were delightful, of course, but the real challenge was pretending to stay asleep while they stuck stickers on my face — especially when they kept showing up one after another. It would be rude to ruin someone's thoughtful surprise, so your timing actually works out perfectly. Thanks for waking me from my little act.
