Caesareum Palace

Caesareum Palace is a subarea located in Sea of Bygone Eras, Fontaine.
It used to be a training area for the legions of Remuria. In addition, it was used as a place to store Scylla’s chains.
In the conflict against Scylla, Boethius ordered Legio VI Rithimi Versi of the Legion Athanatoi to hold back the Dragonborn forces at this site. According to ancient records, they defended it until the end — not a single member deserted, and not a single enemy made it through.[1]

Located in the western cave, near the Nameless Stone Statue.
- Ancient Engravings: "...By order of the exalted Harmost Euergetia, and in accord with the most sacred, beneficent melody of our great Sebastos, Legio VI Rithimi Versi shall be entrusted to the direction of the exalted Harmost Boethius, to stand guard over Caesareum Palace..."

Located at the deepest point of the western cave, in a locked chamber. Complete the Nameless Stone Statue's challenge to access it.
- Ancient Engravings: "...By order of Dominus Boethius, our exalted Harmost, Portus Anticus and the Initium Iani are to be sealed without delay..."
- Ancient Engravings: "...Set seven defensive layers and seal all possible routes of egress... Once the Dragonborn arrive, then (indecipherable) destroy the foes of the Empire with all your might..."
- Ancient Engravings: "...The three chains forged of the exalted Harmost Euergetia's blood and (indecipherable) bone...[Note 1] have been moved to Caesareum Palace... If the chieftain of the wicked drakes cannot be slain, then use them to imprison it here for all eternity..."

Located at the deepest point of the eastern cave, near two Praetorian Golems.

I, Aetius, and my sister, Placidia, did not perish of illness,
But fell resisting the traitorous Dragonborn as they came to the city gates.
Legio VI had not a single deserter amongst its ranks, nor did any disgrace the name of our benefactrix. We guard this palace.
Just as we followed Euergetia to pacify the northern barbarian border, and deliver unto them civilization.
We choose civilization and death. There is no greater honor than to die defending civilization.
Play, comrades, play the grand verse! For all that is noble and glorious, and in the name of our benefactrix.

Etymology
- Aetius' name is derived from Flavius Aëtius, a Roman statesman and general during the last years of the Western Roman Empire.
- His sisters name, Placidia, is also derived from the last Western Roman Empress Galla Placidia.

- ↑ The original Chinese text for this first clause (…大调律师优恩尼娅以血与（难以辨识）之骨所锻的三条锁链…) does not specify whether the blood belonged to Euergetia or someone else, leaving it open to interpretation.
