Novokitezhgrad (Russian: Новокитежград Novokitezhgrad, "New Kitezh City") is a city of Snezhnaya.

The city is known for its liquor and mining industry[1] and there are plenty of Snowland Fae living along humans in the city.[2]

It is located southeast of Snezhnograd.[3] The trail from Nasha Town to Novokitezhgrad is said to be a tough one.[4]

Lore

Novokitezhgrad was established when the historical city of Kitezhgrad was destroyed by the Abyss.[5] Kitezhgrad, sometimes simplified as Kitezh, was established by Monomakh Snezhnyi before he became the Belyi Tsar, and was the imperial capital of the Pale Star court. It is described as the first city of Snezhnaya, though whether it means the first ever city, the oldest of Snezhnayan's modern cities, or simply the first city recognized when Snezhnaya was made a unified land, is not stated.[6] After King Miscislav was slain and his allies were defeated, Monomakh Snezhnyi took control of all Snezhnaya and adopted the name Belyi Tsar. Kitezhgrad would remain the capital city until it was moved to Snezhnograd as part of the Belyi Tsar's ambitions.[6] Alvis, Grand Duke of the Domovoy, monopolized the Kitezhgrad's mining industry, an industry it shares with Novokitezhgrad,[1] shortly after it was established.[7] Additionally, the construction of Novokitezhgrad was overseen by Alvis, who had wanted it to serve as the cornerstone of his standing in the new regime of the Tsaritsa.[5]

Kitezhgrad is last mentioned in sources from 500 years ago; Brahe's Notes mentions "the silver of Kitezhgrad,"[8], a tattered book of fairy tales previously owned by Alia and Aila was published by the Kitezhgrad Publishing House,[9] and the Tsar is said to have perished after leading an expedition from Kitezh[10] to Khaenri'ah during the cataclysm.[11]
