Note
(Written in two languages. The language used in the upper text is completely unfamiliar.)
Your containment facility is rather ingenious. It took me years of careful tinkering from the inside before I finally managed to slip out, though I trust that will not shock you too much. I may only be a novelist, but I have wandered across many worlds and devoured countless mystery and detective stories, so a sharp mind is practically part of the job.
If you happen to find this note, do relax. The containment vessel should still be intact. I think.
To be honest, the days locked inside were so unbearably dull that I ended up doing something rather productive. I finally worked out the ending to VM. Even so, I must say that what you did was rather unfair. The universe may not share a single code of laws, but locking someone away without so much as an explanation seems a little unreasonable, does it not? You did not even allow the border authorities to speak with me.
So now you tell me I entered illegally. That is rather amusing, given that I have already received royalties in your local currency. By now the publisher (Yae Publishing House, if I have the name right), must have readers searching everywhere for me.
Then again, after all these years, I doubt anyone still cares how the story ends.

Lore
The Cage of Suchness was originally the residence of Asmoday and her Watchers, Nihilita and Melanta, from where they resided over the Temple of Space. To get an audience with Asmoday and leave the temple, one had to construct the "Path to the Heavens" in the Corridor of Nothingness. This required offering up all memories and wisdom so that no knowledge would be taken from the temple to the mortal world, and the temple's hidden truths would remain hidden.[2]
Following Asmoday's departure and Nihilita's fall from grace, Melanta remained alone in the Cage of Suchness, taking control of the temple. As the other Shades began to allow minor changes, Melanta, was driven mad by his longing for Asmoday and his desire to undo the transgressions against Asmoday's established rules. He sought to restore everything to its original state and tyrannized the temple’s inhabitants in doing so.[3]
When Raumhilda arrived at the temple and witnessed the suffering caused by Melanta's tyranny, she created the Path to the Heavens sacrificing her memories, and confronted Melanta. Failing to reach an accord, she promised that her sister, Zeitlind, would come and defeat him one day. In a fit of rage, Melanta destroyed half of the Corridor of Nothingness and severed the path.[1][2]
During the World Quest The Final Judgment in Series A Long Day in the Mountains: Chapter 3 - Judgment, the Traveler and Zeitlind reach the Cage of Suchness by offering Zeitlind’s memories, and the Traveler confronts Melanta. After being defeated by the Traveler in battle, Melanta self-destructs, freeing the temple from his influence.
Trivia
- During the World Quest Series A Long Day in the Mountains, this location is repeatedly referred to as the Atrium of Suchness instead of "Cage of Suchness". On the in-game map it is correctly labeled as the Cage of Suchness.
