Trivia
- Easybreeze Holiday Resort is the second summer-themed map after limited-time Golden Apple Archipelago, and the first to be a permanent addition to the game.
- In the local language, Tenochtzitoc translates to "cavern of stone and prickly pears," but prickly pears no longer grow there in the modern day.[1]
Etymology
- The name Tenochtzitoc likely references the Aztec capital city of Mexico-Tenochtitlan, and/or his founder Tenoch.
- Tenoch (Nahuatl: tetl "stone"; nochtli "nopal, cactus, prickly pear") means "stone prickly pear" or "tunal on the stone." This name comes from the myth of origin of Mexico-Tenochtitlan.
- While the second part of the name, Tzitoc likely comes from Chicomoztoc, which is name for the mythical origin place of "The Seven Nahuatlacan tribes," including: Aztec/Mexicas, Tepanecs, Acolhuas, and other Nahuatl-speaking peoples (or Nahuas) of Mesoamerica.
- Chicomoztoc (Chicomoztoc: chicome "seven", oztotl "cave", -c "place") means "place of the seven caves."
