Skirk's Planet
Last updated 2026-08-09
Skirk's planet is a planet in the sea of stars.
History
The planet initially did not have the conditions to support life due to extreme temperatures. However, humans emerged and evolved the ability to adapt to any type of environment or energy source.[1]
Skirk was born in an unnamed village. By this time, the planet had become host to grasses,[1] a species of fish and a giant bird that was said to be able to spit fire. When she was a child, a merchant ship from a neighboring planet arrived and the locals welcomed them peacefully.[2] However, the merchants investigated the planet and its people, discovering their special adaptation ability. This adaptive ability allowed Skirk's people to make contact with the Abyss without being put in grave danger, though none of them ever used the Abyss in any direct capacity.[3] As a result, the merchants deemed them to be a "potential threat," calling an army and wiping the people from the face of the planet. During the raid, Skirk's village was razed to the ground; Skirk fled from the destruction before being saved by Surtalogi. She later left her planet.[1]
The attack resulted not only in the deaths of Skirk's people, but also the extermination of its natural flora and fauna.[3]
Culture
From Skirk's memories, it can be inferred that the planet's inhabitants were generally peaceful and non-violent, as seen by how the majority were unable to defend themselves against their attackers during the raid.[4]

Callous Officer: Good. The only ones who put up a real fight are that man and his wife, correct?
Callous Officer: Well, well. Turns out some of these beasts do know how to use their claws.
