Matilla is an A-Rank Valkyrie of Schicksal and the captain of the Phosdjinns Squad.[1]

Appearance

Matilla has dark red hair and green eyes. She wears an eyepatch and an earring, along with a black and white shirt exposing her stomach, a white coat, a red scarf on her hips and a black boot. She also has a yellow prosthetic that replaces her missing arm.

Story

Not much is known about Matilla's past, but it is hinted she was close with the former captain of the Phosdjinns.

London Holiday

In 2015, the Phosdjinns Squad departed to Dubai due to a Honkai outbreak spotted in that location.[2] When Susannah Manatt shows signs of fear, Matilla tells her that she shouldn't be afraid because she is a great Valkyrie, and is trained for fights like these.[3] In order to become an S-Rank Valkyrie, she is willing to fight no matter the danger.[4] She spots an Emperor-Class Honkai Beast called "Padishah" and gets ready to fight the it before Zofia stops her. She says they need a plan, but Matilla refuses, saying that they're ready as is.[5]

Suddenly, Durandal appears and kills the Honkai Beast in a single punch. Dumbfounded, the squad leaves since the mission was done for them.[6]

Later on, Zofia informs Matilla that the Phosdjinns had received a mission from Schicksal.[4] As Matilla excitedly calls for Susannah, Zofia reads the mission closer[7] and tells her that the mission is only for Susannah. This leaves the squad confused.[8]

Personality

Matilla has a charismatic personality, and motivates her squad, reassuring Susannah Manatt that there's no need to be afraid.[3]
