Sakura (Japanese: サクラ Sakura) was a Previous Era MANTIS of MOTH, and the 8th Flame-Chaser.
Appearance
Sakura has long pink hair with inhuman fox-like ears and pink eyes.
Story
Chapter XII
In Chapter XII, Seele Vollerei enters a bubble universe[6] made out of Kevin Kaslana's memories of the Previous Era.[7] There, she meets a warrior named Sakura who was looking for her sister, Rin,[3] who was on the 33rd floor of the base. Along with Kevin, Sakura was a part of MOTH (The Moth That Chases the Flames).[8] In light of the devastation to the anti-Honkai forces caused by the 11th Herrscher, Rin, who had been confirmed as the 12th Herrscher but who did not display any external signs of Honkai corruption,[9] was murdered in captivity by paranoid soldiers. This in turn unleashed the true nature of the 12th Herrscher—a viral entity that rapidly spread throughout the base, turning many soldiers into zombies. Emotionally devastated and having lost the will to live,[10] Sakura threw herself into a crusade of eliminating as many zombies as possible until her body gave out.[5] This bubble universe plays out the same way Kevin's memories did,[7] however Seele witnessing it first hand was something insignificant to Kevin.

- Sakura: What can the Honkai signature tell us? We're MANTIS fighting for humanity but we also have Honkai genes.
- Sakura: Rin did not exhibit any traits. It's under control! She won't hurt anyone!

- Kevin: The power of the 12th manifested in the form of an airborne contagion.
- Kevin: Soldiers in the base murdered her without orders, which therefore activated her Herrscher powers.
- Kevin: She was the cause of the zombie outbreak.

- Sakura stood up and gazed at Kevin with her vacant eyes.
- Sakura: Kevin, where is she?
- Kevin: Sakura, what are you trying to do?
- Sakura: I'm going to find her.

- Sakura: Rin must be very lonely right now. She fears being alone...
- Sakura: ...she needs me.
- Seele:' ......
- Seele became silent.
- Sirens, gunfire, and explosions created a cacophony. Seele knew it was a one way trip for Sakura.
