Moon Wheel
Last updated 2026-08-05
Moon Wheels are Vision-like objects associated with Nod-Krai and the moon. They are "formed from the stuff of the soul" and allow their users to manipulate the elements like Visions, but instead of using regular elemental energy, they use kuuvahki, an ancient, purer form of elemental power.[1][2] Lunar Reactions use kuuvahki[3] and all playable Moon Wheel users have Moonsign Benediction Passives that enable Lunar Reactions.
Nod-Krai Moon Wheels look completely identical to Nod-Krai Visions, being an orb-shaped elemental gem on the upper part of a circular frame with a crescent-like small circle and four rhombuses on the lower half. Zibai, the only Moon Wheel user from outside Nod-Krai (Liyue), has a slightly different Moon Wheel frame compared to Nod-Krai Moon Wheels, with the crescent-like circle having an inverted color scheme and the four rhombuses are missing.
Moon Wheels were originally created by the Heavenly Principles and the Three Moon Sisters,[4] and were given to the Moon Goddesses' human followers to allow the Goddesses to communicate with them in rituals.[5] It's likely that Visions were formed from the same principle, with kuuvahki replaced by modern elemental energy.

Possible Moon Wheel Users
- Sigurd (Electro) — As Nod-Krai Visions are visually indistinguishable from Nod-Krai Moon Wheels, it is unknown if Sigurd's elemental gem was a Vision or a Moon Wheel.

Trivia
- There are several possible reasons for the atypical design of Zibai's Moon Wheel:
- Her Moon Wheel was given directly by Istaroth as a symbol of her Moon Envoy status.[6]
- Her gameplay region is Liyue, not Nod-Krai like all other Moon Wheel users. Her atypical Moon Wheel design is shown in the upper left corner of the Character Menu, which only shows a standardized set of icons and does not reflect any nonstandard designs.
- There is only one character that the player witnesses obtain a Moon Wheel onscreen: Ineffa. If Visions are also taken into account, Rana, the Wanderer, and Furina receive theirs onscreen.
