Dex
Certain objects in the Temple of Space can be manipulated by a juvenile Watcher named Dex. When the player is facing such an object and is close enough, a button appears; selecting it will cause Dex to manipulate that object.
- Spacial Dragging is an ability by which Dex can grab Spacelike Vectors and drag them to manipulate nearby objects and spaces. This ability can:
- Move, rotate, or stretch architecture
- Open Restoration Cores
- Move Organization Type Keepers
- Adjust the stance of Transport Type Keepers
- Manipulate pages in Mahavaipulya Chamber and paintings in Luyang Academy to modify the spaces they contain or create new traversal pathways
- Grab weak spots of Maranasati Caskets and rip them open
- Dex can seize the cores of Suppression and Patrol Type Keepers and opened Maranasati Caskets to quickly destroy them.
- The player can fire Elemental Cubes from Segment-Domain Keeper: Projectile Type objects with Dex's help.
- In the Desert Pavilion, Dex can use quicksand to quickly build and destroy certain objects. This ability can be used to reach previously inaccessible areas, or build cover to hide from enemies.
- Dex's presence allows the player to traverse certain areas in the Apathic Interval that would otherwise be impassible.
Other
- Floating pages can be found in Mahavaipulya Chamber. Standing on certain spots on them can cause them to move to other locations, carrying the player with them.
- Elemental Cubes are found in the Temple of Space. They can be picked up by Transport Type Keepers or fired by Projectile Type Keepers into display cases for rewards. Adjacent cubes of incompatible types annihilate one another.
- Harpasta can be found in the Temple of Space. Interacting with one transforms the player into a Plume Moth. Most of the time, the player can control the Moth to fly to other places. Bellowing Harpasta cause the Moth to fly along a fixed path.
- Memory Factors found in the Temple of Space can be offered to the Memory Core for rewards. They can be obtained from Chests (except Remarkable Chests), and from floating Mnemonic Clusters. Once the Memory Core reaches its maximum level, excess Memory Factors can be exchanged with Josephus for items or Mora.

Descriptions
The temple of the Master of Time was left behind on solid ground, where it eventually fell into ruin. The temple of the Master of Space, however, remained here, and here it shall remain, until the end of time.
Only after the temple met its destruction did the god's gaze linger here briefly.
As such, the wind can only linger in the mountains, which is why the mountain breezes are ever so fierce and untamed.

Overview
The Temple of Space, also known as Segment-Domain Tau, was created by Asmoday, the Shade of Space, as an exhibition hall preserving records of fallen civilizations such as Hyperborea, Lang-Gan, Delphi Pytho, Ochkanatlan, Remuria, and Arcadia.[1]
The temple is divided into three exhibition areas containing books, paintings, landscapes, ecosystems, and selected individuals known as the "Uplifted." Luyang Academy, inspired by ancient Liyue, is devoted to art and painting.[2] The Mahavaipulya Chamber houses ancient texts and new novels written by some of the Uplifted, while the Desert Pavilion preserves sculptures and architecture modeled after the desert temples of Sumeru.[1][3]
Alongside the temple, Asmoday created the Watchers Nihilita and Melanta, who resided with her in the Cage of Suchness.[4] Their duty was to maintain order, bring selected individuals into the temple,[5] and silently observe Teyvat while enforcing Asmoday's decree that the temple exist solely for preservation, with all innovation forbidden.[1][6] She also created the Domain Keepers and various types of Segment-Domain Keepers as lower-ranking guardian units.[7]
Originally, the Temple of Space was connected to a temple at Windrest Peak where survivors of Arcadia worshipped Istaroth. Following an unknown disaster, the temple was lifted into the heavens, cut off from the world, and hidden from sight.[8] Istaroth's temple remained at Windrest Peak, eventually falling into ruin and later becoming the site of the local sanatorium.[9][10][11]
The "Uplifted"
The Uplifted, also called Aiones,[12] are individuals in the Temple of Space selected from specific eras or vanished civilizations to be "uplifted" and preserved as living memories.[1] The Watchers cast these individuals into the Apathic Interval, the first stage of the uplifting process. To leave the Interval, one must attain a state of complete mental emptiness by relinquishing all desires through meditation and mastery over one's thoughts. Depending on the individual, this process can take anywhere from a few years to several centuries,[5] altering a person's personality and preventing them from obtaining a Vision.[13]
The temple is currently not expecting newcomers, as the uplifting process is said to have concluded.[14]
The Uplifted cannot leave the temple unless they construct the "Path to the Heavens" within the Corridor of Nothingness in order to gain an audience with Asmoday. Establishing the path requires offering up all memories and wisdom so that no knowledge of the temple may return to the mortal world. While traversing the Corridor, individuals are granted the mercy of looking back upon their memories one final time.[4][6]
Rules
Within the Temple of Space, time stands still and loses all meaning.[15] Its inhabitants do not age, nor do they experience hunger, exhaustion,[16] or death.[17]
The Corridor of Nothingness draws its power from the temple itself, and the sacrifice of memories to establish the Path to the Heavens is considered one of the temple's fundamental laws.[6]
Wind is forbidden from entering the temple, causing Windrest Peak to remain perpetually windy.[9]

Trivia
- Characters can fall out of bounds, though doing so will result in a quick blackout before the player is placed in their last known position on the map. Similarly to that of the Ancient Sacred Mountain, falling out of bounds here does not drain HP or Energy.
- Co-Op Mode in the Temple of Space is unavailable until A Long Day in the Mountains is completed. However, guests can view a host's Temple of Space map.
- The Update Details for Version "Luna VI"[18] and the achievement Aimless Journey to the Abandoned Sanatorium state that the Temple of Space is an area of Mondstadt even though the Teleport Waypoints, Quest Menu, and other location indicators display the base location as the Temple of Space (or the equivalent of no region, in the case of the Party Setup screen).
- During The Wind Has Ceased, the player has to ability to leave the Temple of Space before unlocking the first Teleport Waypoint, meaning the map tab is accessible but cannot be entered without progressing through the previous steps of the quest again.
